Planning Document

Overview:

Poster sessions are held in an open area for attendees to explore a variety of topics in a multi-booth environment where they can engage with you one-on-one or in small groups. This kind of learning environment encourages meaningful conversations regarding your ideas, implementation, tools, and projects that attendees can immediately incorporate in their classroom, campus, or district. Sessions are grouped each time period around a common theme such as STEM or leadership or coding.

Each poster presenter will be provided with a 6-foot table, monitor, and board you can attach any flyers and/or handouts to. Presenters are required to bring their own laptop to project a visual. Poster sessions last two hours, but are a combination of many short conversations.

TCEA began offering poster sessions at TCEA 2017 with great success. In TCEA 2018, we will have more than double the amount of poster sessions with focused topics at each given timeslot. This committee is responsible for brainstorming topic coverage in order to guide the Content Committee’s selection of these sessions, solicit for additional poster sessions to accommodate for any holes in the scheduling, and support the TCEA 2018 Poster Pavilion,
